How to pick a good web company

I’ve been meaning to write about this for a while.

When you decide its time to dive in and get your company a website, what should you consider?

  • Look through there portfolio of websites, are they visually attractive?
  • Easy to Navigate?
  • Can you find them? E.g. a garage offering MOT’s in Brighton, Google it, do they come up?
People won’t just magically find your website just because you have one! Simply having a website will not bring new customers.
  • Do they have team members who have experience in Pay Per Click and Search Engine Optimization? Do some reading around the subject and prepare some questions. If you don’t like the answers, look elsewhere.

Of course, there is much more to consider but it is definitely worth researching your chosen company before signing a contract with them. These are the things that I would look for if I wasn’t a web-savy business person.
