Catacombs
Had a good weekend? Just thought I’d write a short review of the film I watched on saturday. Staring the singer ‘Pink’. Personally I wouldn’t bother watching this film. I found it somewhat predictable throughout besides some very farfetched twist at the end. Where the `innocent` sister slaughters everyone. Read the rest of this entry »
Rant Free
Today I have removed my Rants about certain individuals, groups and companies who act unprofessionally or have upset me in one way or another.
The main reason for this is that it was drawing unnecessary attention to my site. Mainly attention of people who I had upset
Some of them deserved it and I think perhaps others didn’t
None the less it was causing my grief I didn’t want.
David hits YouTube
You may of course be wondering who David is? Well he’s training as a graphics designer and also helps with my web projects.

I can’t believe it, those fools over at Natwest bank declined to use me to advertise their products. What are they thinking? Are they insane.
Hilton Hotel (Bristol)
Yesterday I spent the Night at the Hilton Hotel in Bristol, to be honest I wasn’t impressed one bit with the service I received at any point. Being a Hilton Hotel, I had high expectations anyway. In reality the service I actually received was below average for everything. Upon checking in I offered to pay upfront and was told I could pay on departure in the morning, only 5 minutes later to be told basically because I was younger than their usual customers I had to pay upfront. Nice to feel trusted isn’t it? Read the rest of this entry »
First year Trading & Taxes.
I’ve now successfully completed my first official year of trading. I started in January 2007 - so what’s it been like?Well in a word - great. My website is vague when it comes to what I actually do to earn my money, however here is a rundown of what I’ve done over the last year.
My primary sources of income have been from (in order of earnings):
- Search Engine Optimization
- Pay Per Click - Lead Generation
- Website Development
- Adsense
My biggest worry has been taxes, not because I’ve spent too much simply because I just don’t understand how it all works beyond the basic principle of my expenses will be taken from my earnings therefore I’m not being taxed on things I haven’t earned. However from the start I knew I would claim for as much as possible after all, why not? If the Inland Revenue were to find a problem they can simply get it corrected.
This is another reason why I strongly recommend that all Self Employed and Business Owners should use an accountant. They will deduct everything which is deductable. It’s quite incredible. It has most likely saved me a lot of money.
